The Changing Face of Interoperability in 2014

2014 is on the horizon. With that, it’s not only a time to reflect on the past year, but also continue to move forward and plan ahead. Interoperability has been the topic of many conversations within the healthcare industry lately. Looking into the new year,  it’s important that healthcare providers not only maintain interoperability levels, but also expand upon them.

HIE interoperability is key as it relates to Meaningful Use objectives like electronic exchange of clinical information,  along with submitting lab results to public health agencies, etc. Data exchange requirements will be among the amped up mandates for this coming year.
