Data Breaches and Downtime: Making Sure Your Enterprise Remains Secure

Data Breaches happen across a multitude of industries, and occur more often than many would like to admit. The healthcare industry has been particularly susceptible to breaches. Most recently, University of Washington Medicine’s Medical Center found themselves trying to clean up a malware attack on a central computer which stored critical patient data.

Many healthcare enterprises have basic security measures in place. However the most common security measures are quite minimal when it comes to a downtime.  In the event of a network or system downtime is your data still secure?

Summit Healthcare’s Downtime Reporting System (DRS) proves to be a valuable tool and is a crucial piece of a hospitals disaster recovery plan. It allows hospital staff the ability to view critical patient information, in real time, in the event of a system or network failure. DRS can also assist in satisfying the HIPAA Final Rule as it pertains to data protection and availability. It provides hospitals with the confidence and certainty they need to maintain access to critical patient information in the event of a system downtime or network failure.

Do you have a plan to keep this critical data safe and accessible at all times?
